The Veterans Crisis Line is a free 24/7, confidential text message service, online chat, or phone call for people in crisis, whether they're struggling with strong emotions or are feeling suicidal. The goal of any conversation is to get individuals to a calm, safe place. That can mean providing them with a referral to help further, and sometimes it just means being there and listening.
