Student Handbook

Handbook cover

The Helena College Student Handbook is intended to provide you with basic information about services as well as policies and procedures related to your rights, responsibilities, and conduct as a student and a member of our campus community. You are responsible for knowing the information included in this handbook as well as the college catalog. If you have questions or concerns, always feel free to contact the appropriate staff or faculty member. Within this handbook you will find a campus directory providing contact information as well as a “Where do I go to…” list that addresses students’ frequently asked questions and needs. We hope you will use the handbook to familiarize yourself with the many resources available to you at Helena College to support your learning, enhance your student experience, and contribute to your long-term personal development.

Campus Security and Crime Statistics

Safety on the Helena College campus is a concern for students, parents and college employees. Education-the business of a learning institution-can only take place in an environment in which each student and staff member feels safe. The Helena College administration recognizes this and has made security a priority.

In compliance with the Jeanne Cleary Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act of 1998, Helena College annually reports the required crime statistics. You can view the report by visiting the Office of Postsecondary Education website at ope.ed.gov. To view the report enter Helena College in the Name of Institution search box.

This report is also available in hard copy from the Enrollment Services office at the Helena College Donaldson Campus located at 1115 North Roberts, Helena, MT 59601.
