What do I need to apply now?
- For the application you’ll need your own basic information including your address, phone number, social security number, and birthdate.
- Be prepared for the residency questions. Have your Montana driver’s license ready, know the last time you registered your vehicle, and the last two years that you filed taxes. If someone else claims you on their taxes, you will be asked to complete the previously mentioned residency items with their information. It is important to put as much information as you can into residency, it will determine if you pay in-state or out of state tuition.
- The non-refundable application fee may be paid over the internet with a credit/debit card. If you would prefer to pay in cash or with check, please submit a paper application and payment in person or through the mail at 1115 North Roberts, Helena, MT 59601
What else will I need to submit?
- All degree seeking students (students taking more than 7 credits and/or relying on financial aid) are required to submit proof of two Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR) vaccinations, official high school transcripts or GED scores, and submit either ACT or SAT scores. These materials must be submitted to Helena College, 1115 N. Roberts and are required for a completed application.
- Transfer students are welcome and encouraged to request official transcripts to be sent to the admissions office. You may have already taken classes that fulfill placement scores or prerequisite requirements for other classes.

- Spring 2025 application materials must be submitted no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 3rd, 2025.
- Summer 2025 application materials must be submitted no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, May 2nd, 2025.
- Fall 2025 application materials must be submitted no later thant 5:00 p.m. on Friday, August 15th, 2025.
- REMEMBER! Application materials include the application, MMRs, and official transcripts. All items must be submitted prior to the deadline to establish a completed application.
